A few months ago, I decided to read Senator Obama's Plan for America. I, like many of you, had heard a lot about him, but I really did not know his positions on any of the issues. So I decided to read his Plan for America. While reading it, I wondered how many people that have already committed to voting for him have read his plan. While reading his plan, I wrote down some of the thoughts and reactions I had to his plan. Then I created this website to post those thoughts to. Hopefully, it will be helpful to someone out there.
Read the open letter first, then read the commentary. The commentary is broken into several sections just like his plan. If you don't want to read it all, then just read one of the sections that you find interesting. I will be honest. I did not like his plan for America, because it nothing more than bigger government upon big government. I don't like government planning in general. It just seems so anti-American. By anti-American, I mean that it seems so contrary to why this country was founded in the first place. Didn't our founding fathers fight to throw off the economic and political meddling and tyranny of the English crown? Has our government only assumed the place of the English crown? That is a question for you to answer.
I have laid out my arguments in an orderly fashion. I encourage you to read my open letter first before reading the commentary. The commentary has been broken up into individual sections just like his plan was. If you have the time, read his plan for yourself. If not, just read my commentary. It's accurate and consistent with the content and derived intent of his plan. I have no agenda other than the agenda of freedom and liberty, not coercion and tyranny masked as security.
